Ive been pretty quiet on the blog over the years, mainly because of instagram, as that seems a good way to reach out to people and show new work, however, I thought I would open my blog again :)
Last year, I embarked on a backpacking trip to Thailand with my twin brother, armed with nothing but a ticket to Bangkok and a single night's reservation at a hotel. The rest of our journey was left to spontaneity. Opting to head south, we boarded a sleeper train to Chumphon, relishing the therapeutic sights of the countryside passing by and the beautiful sunset streaming through the train windows. Eventually, we ventured by boat to the island of Ko Tao.
Our time on Ko Tao was spent exploring the island's landscapes on hired mopeds and discovering hidden snorkelling gems. One standout experience was kayaking away from the crowded shores, immersing ourselves in the underwater marine life. It felt as though we were exploring another planet beneath the waves, though a brief encounter with what I thought was a shark tested our nerves.
Returning to Bangkok, I embraced the chaos of Khao San Road, booking a hotel in the midst of the bustling street scene. The nightlife echoing through the streets. I found inspiration in capturing the city's essence amidst the vibrant chaos.
